Top 10 Things to Do in Vegas

Vegas strip lit up at night with the Bellagio fountain running

Take a break from the slots and venture out to see all the city has to offer. Hiding behind the neon lights are performances, attractions, rides, and shows that’ll make your Vegas vacation unique and special. Step inside The Venetian and immerse yourself in Italian culture without leaving the city. Marvel at operatic performers, ride a gondola for a classic Italian experience, or enjoy the modern side of Las Vegas with fashion runway shows, live music, and digital dance performances.

The hotly anticipated new show from Spiegelworld, the creators of Absinthe® and Opium, arrives this September. It's described as "Blazing Saddles" meets "America's Got Talent" meets "Westworld." Could this become the wildest watering hole in Las Vegas? Her first hotel was acquired by the government as an atomic bomb test site, but decades later, Boozy Skunkton has returned to take over the Kraken Music Hall, a hidden saloon in the heart of The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort. Boozy has collected the "most abnormally sexy but sensationally amoral" troupe of entertainers on Earth and is determined to create the greatest saloon show the world has ever known. With an international cast of comic actors, variety acts, and acrobats, ATOMIC SALOON SHOW™ will take audiences to the Wild West as it never was.

Gondola Rides

Your Venetian experience isn’t complete without a traditional gondola ride. Get serenaded with classic Italian songs while you take in beautiful, Italian-inspired architecture. Enjoy an indoor ride, or glide along the outdoor lagoon to get a unique view of the Strip.

Before heading out to the canal, make sure not to miss the Gondolier March! Twelve gondoliers joyfully march from The Venetian to The Grand Canal Shoppes, all while singing in unison. Listen to their booming, melodic voices as they parade through before serenading riders individually. Performances take place only once per day, before the boat rides open. Be sure to get there early!

Live Statues

The statues throughout The Grand Canal Shoppes seem so realistic and lifelike because, well, they’re really alive! These performers are painted and dressed to look as if they've been carved from the finest stone. They stand still for hours, making you second-guess whether they’re actually human. These “statues” decorate the property and make for perfect photo-ops but don't seem to budge — even when you try to make them laugh.
